Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Clubhouse Pool will not open for the 2020 pool season.
The difficult decision was reached due to the uncertainty of social distancing restrictions on pool operations and the inability to clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces on the pool deck and inside the locker rooms. Additionally, the Restore Illinois Plan for phases 3 and 4 puts restrictions in place limiting the number of guests that would be allowed to gather at the pool.
All remaining funds in the pool budget will be reinvested into the pool area. The Board is looking into options including permanent shade structures and upgraded patio furniture.
As disappointing as this news is, it’s the right decision for the health and safety of Lakewood Prairie. Thank you in advance for your cooperation in contributing to the health and well-being of our entire community.
