All agricultural land currently being farmed within Lakewood Prairie was originally designed to be part of the Association. The developer was required to officially add the land (via formal amendment filed with Kendall County) to the Association/Declaration within seven (7) years from the date the Declaration was recorded, which was on 2/9/2006.
After an extensive legal search no such amendment was ever filed. Therefore this land is not part of the Association and the Association has no control over its development.
We recently learned of a possible acquisition of the vacant land (originally zoned for townhomes) north of Jones Elementary School. While we have no control over this development, the Board of Directors is working diligently to ensure we have great neighbors here within Lakewood Prairie. We will share any information as we receive it.
